High school freshman Yūta Togashi was once a "chūnibyō patient" i.e. an overly self-conscious middle schooler. He wants to bury this embarrassing past and begins a new life in high school -- unsuccessfully. His classmate Rikka Takanashi, a "current" chūnibyō patient, has found traces of residual symptoms on him and used the fact to force Togashi "making a contract" with her.
Comments: Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai is a typical comedy, school life anime that leans toward a harem genre. Its selling point is the theme revolving around chuunibyous as stated by the title. Chuunibyous literally means "eighth grade syndrome", basically a short period of time when a person is heavily influenced by something and believe they are a mythical existence or have supernatural power
