ReplyDelete@tontonton Hi, make sure you installed the custom recover or CWM -- please refer to http://hyperiononline.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-install-custom-recovery-for.html Hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem. Do I have to copy the recovery file to my sd card?
DeleteHi Ann, yes you need to install the custom recovery first, as original custom recovery won't properly read the superuser root file in the zip. Kindly refer above link to install a custom recovery for your phone.
Deletesir, after rooting my device, can i still revert back to it's unrooted state? (just in case i need to send it back to the shop for repair while it's still under its warranty)
ReplyDeletethanks and more power! :)
Hi Eli, you can always unroot your phone, though if you will have issues like your phone won't turn on properly in the future, or just keep on rebooting, just declare that your phone mess up after a software update as they wont know if its rooted or not.
Deletesir how to go back to unrooting? thank you so much for the rooting everything is done by your help
ReplyDeletebtw i cant spot the difference whats with this new version? thanks a lot again
Hi, sorry for terrible delay here - got internet problem recently, btw you can redo the process to unroot, whilst unrooting doesn't mean its a new version it gives you admin access and probably you can install link2sd or chainfire 3d to make your phone more interactive, gives more space, and able to play more games. Basically rooting your phone gives you more flexibility than standard access. If you need a guide how to unroot on a different way, check this link - http://theunlockr.com/2012/10/11/how-to-root-and-unroot-the-alcatel-one-touch-918n-blaze-glory/
